The Richness of Proteins
It's not just the quantity of protein that you eat that's important, but also its quality: in other words, its amino acid profile. Sources of protein of high biological value include meat, fish, milk and eggs.

Proteins help us to build and regenerate our tissues, and play a role in growth and muscle development, amongst other things.

As a general rule, adults are advised to consume between 45 and 65 g of protein each day, depending on their weight.

Below is a list detailing the protein content of a selection of foods:

- A COVAP sirloin steak weighing 120 g (a small fillet) contains approximately 24 g of protein.

- 100 g of COVAP beef ribs contain approximately 21.1 g of protein.

- 150 g of COVAP acorn-fed Iberian ham contains approximately 64.8 g of protein.

- A glass of COVAP milk (250 ml) contains 8 g of protein.
