Clean energy

Positive impact on the environment

We guarantee a sustainable future for the territory because we are convinced that, in addition to offering quality, healthy, nutritional food products, our activities should take place in harmony with the environment.

Energy Office

The professionals in this area provide a specialised information service to our cooperative members that covers all types of energy optimisation and commercial management in order to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the different tasks they carry out on the farms. In addition to transmitting proximity and trust.

This technical staff is specialised in energy and works directly on four aspects:

Adding demand

This is how we achieve a competitive advantage in the prices of electricity and facilitate the change of company through an energy marketing window.

Renewable energy

Promoting the implementation of solar power generation, among others, with studies and advice on photovoltaic installations. Optimizing the investment and seeking better use of excess energy.

Training actions

Through various sessions and talks on the subject of energy: how to understand the electricity bill, the importance of renewables, energy efficiency, etc.

Greater energy efficiency

Personalized studies and analyses of farms, monitoring the consumption points to detect potential savings.

Circular Energy Project

We are pursuing an energy model based on renewable energy; specifically, photovoltaic, biomass, and biogas. With a total investment of 25 million euros, we hope to make the most of energy sources like the sun, organic material of forest origin, and the waste and byproducts generated on the farms and in the industrial plants. Specifically, we will replace 80% of the fossil fuels used with renewable energies, through our 6 MW photovoltaic power plant, with a production of 11,000 MW/year; 13.4 MW biomass plant, which will generate 80,000 MW/year; and 7 MW biogas plant, which will supply 40,000 MW/year. The advantages of this new model focus on leveraging use of all the Cooperative’s own resources, reducing dependence on external energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80%, reusing 60,000 m3 of water, and producing 25,000 tons of organic fertilizers, which will be used by farmers in the production of raw material for animal feed. A large number of quality specialist jobs will be created, which will also provide an opportunity to retain talent in the region.
