Today, 14 October, coinciding with the events commemorating the International Day of Rural Women, the Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality, Susana Camarero Benítez, at the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality (MSSSI), presided over an event in which Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de Andalucía (Agri-food Cooperatives of Andalusia) and six other regional cooperatives, COVAP among them, signed collaborative agreements, showing a clear commitment to work to promote the presence of women in management positions, management teams and advisory boards. The initiative is jointly promoted by Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España (Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain), the national confederation which has also signed the agreement, together with the regional federations of Asturias, the Balearic Islands, Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha and a total of sixteen cooperatives from these and other communities, including Andalusia.
