The news outlets Qcom.es, Euroganaderia.eu and Wikispanishfood.com have held the seventh edition of their awards, which recognise the work done by firms and institutions that contribute value to the food production and processes and the people who perform them in a sustainable, environment-friendly way. These awards for professionals in the farming and food sector also stress the importance of farm production and its weight within the Spanish economy as a whole.
The award winners were chosen by a jury of members of Agrifood's editorial team and publications director. The selection criteria are related to the publishing firm's philosophy of developing, fostering and disseminating in a clear, transparent way the values that the Spanish food industry contributes to society.
At this year's awards, COVAP won the award for innovation in international development, for its firm commitment to marketing its products abroad.
